This Privacy Policy explains how DropAnything ("we", "the site") handles information when you use this website.
Your files are never uploaded to us
DropAnything transfers files directly between your two devices using a peer-to-peer connection (WebRTC). Your photos, videos and other files are not uploaded to, processed by, or stored on any server we control. A signalling service is used only to help the two devices find each other (it exchanges connection information, not your files). We do not receive, see, or keep copies of what you send.
Information we collect
The core transfer tool does not require an account and does not ask for personal information. Standard, non-identifying technical data (such as browser type) may be processed by our web host to serve the page and for security.
Cookies and advertising
We may use analytics and display advertising to support the site. Where advertising is enabled:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
